Activities at Hurdy Gurdy House
Building Daily Routines and Well-being
At Hurdy Gurdy House, we believe structured, meaningful activities are vital for the well-being and personal development of our residents.
Structured Physical Activities
Our daily routine follows the TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-handicapped Children) approach, which uses visual cues to guide residents through activities, ensuring they feel supported and empowered throughout the day.
Our program offers a range of physical activities that are engaging and beneficial to the health of our residents. These include:
01.
Swimming
Residents can enjoy swimming sessions in a safe, supervised environment, helping improve motor skills, relaxation, and confidence.
02.
Walking
Regular walks promote physical health while also offering moments of tranquility and connection with nature.
03.
Other Physical Exercises
Additional physical activities are included in the daily routine, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.”
Group Outings
and Social Events
In addition to on-site activities, we organize occasional group outings.
These outings allow residents to explore new environments and engage with the broader community.
Since Hurdy Gurdy House does not have its own transport, we rely on fundraising to cover transportation costs for these enriching trips.
Physical and Social Balance for Better Living
Supporting Personal Growth Through Routines
We combine structured routines, physical activity, and social outings to provide our residents with a balanced and supportive environment. This approach nurtures their individual growth and development.
